Configuring custom sequences

Follow

Introduction

If the automated way of sending the After Sales questionnaires is not suitable for your order process, different sequences can be setup.

Disabling the existing sequences

The first step to configure custom sequences is to disable the default Application Sequences. To do so, go to your e-satisfaction dashboard, and navigate to your application settings. Then, disable the Questionnaire Sequences by clicking on the switch, as shown in the picture below:

Option 1: Custom Sequences with API - e-satisfaction Queue

In this case, you can build your own API calls towards e-satisfaction API and send your After Sales or Store Pickup Questionnaires to your customers when you think it's most appropriate. E.g: one could want to add an item to the sending queue as soon as an order is ready for shipping.

Make the API call

Before going forward, take a look on How to read our API guide.

Based on the desired questionnaire, select the questionnaire id, pipeline id and create a Queue Item.

Option 2: Custom Sequences with API - Custom Queue

Although Option 1 is very generic and can work for most of the cases, if you are not allowed to share the customer's personal data with e-satisfaction, you can create a questionnaire link using e-satisfaction API and send the After Sales - Home Delivery or After Sales - Store Pickup Questionnaires from your service.

If you wish to proceed with this solution, you should learn about implementing your own queue mecanism, which is covered in length in this article.

In this case, you have to create your own Questionnaire Instance and send the collection_url to your customers via email or SMS.

NOTE: For SMS channels, you can use the collection_url_short which makes use of a shortener service to keep the url short.

Based on the desired questionnaire, select the questionnaire id and create a Questionnaire Instance.
